Since we'll have stages set up for the specialty matches in November, January, and February, we're considering the return of the NWPPA low-light match.
NWPPA developed some specific procedures to help ensure safety, with illuminated muzzle safe points downrange; red-filtered lights for scoring, loading, unloading; lighted armbands to keep track of everyone's location on the range, and it was a lot of fun.
Weather played a large part in what success we had scheduling the matches, and NWPPA meteorologist, Ed Leavitt said he'd look into phases of the moon, etc., to see how favorable our match dates are.
The plan would be to leave the stages set up from day matches run November 23, January 25, and February 22, and the "night crew" would tear them down.
We'll probably run four, 8-12 round stages, so tear-down should be pretty easy and quick, even in the dark.
Stay tuned.

We'll be running four, twelve-round stages on November 23; what's the interest level in running a low-light match that evening? We might try getting the match started at 5:00-5:30, so the lighting conditions get progressively darker, from low-light to no light.
Is someone interested enough to take on MD duties? I'm going to MD the day matches, and while I might be able to stay, or return for the evening match, I can't commit to it in advance.

It is unlikely we will be able to shoot this match after shooting PB that day. I have posted this event on our Girl and a Gun page ….will post responses later this week on this thread.
